Author: Aali Pant

Hi! My name is Aali Pant and I hail from one of the hilly state of India. If you think my name is a peculiar one, then probably I have met you in some form or another. https://aalipant.com/2019/08/31/whats-in-spoiling-a-name/. I have always been inclined toward writing and reading. Back in school when I was in 9th grade, I wrote a poem for the local newspaper. It was for the first time that I publicized my skill. Once it got published I got a lot of recognition from my friends, family, and school authorities. That gave me the push to write further. Later I did my Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering, followed by Masters in Geotechnical Engineering, and eventually, I now hold a Ph.D. Having been associated with academia allowed me to be a voracious reader as well as writer, though most of it was technical reading and writing. I felt disconnected from my innate habit and love for writing about random things like philosophy, comedy, experiences, and reviews. Thus, it was only in 2019 that I decided to try being a regular writer and make a blog of my own. I started writing every weekend from then. WEEKEND BLOGBUSTER, as one of my colleague used to call them. Since then I try posting regularly, even if not every weekend but at least once in a month I make sure I do what I like most, and that's writing for my blog. Lastly, I would like to share the poem I wrote in my 9th grade that gave wind to the spark within me. It is in Hindi so maybe not everyone can understand it, unless you would want me or Google to translate the same.
