SRK: A Myth, or Not So!

I am an ardent Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) fan. More than his movies, it is his interviews, gestures, and tweets that I admire more. Every year I try reading a book on him, but unfortunately I am not getting any worth reading this year. I highly recommend “Desperately Seeking Shah Rukh” by Shrayana Bhattacharya for the great research she has done in her book. SRK is an unachievable being for me, more like a myth. I wish I could have a conversation with him, but this is practically impossible for ever to happen. Yet it is this myth that I conquer sometimes. Because it is the reality that can be controlled, but it is in our dreams where we are boundless. I have seen SRK in my dreams few times and each of these faint dreams make him more human to me, than the countless characters which he has played on the movies for us to see anytime anywhere.

These dreams are often in which I normally have a conversation with SRK on some real issues and life. In one of the dreams that I can recollect I had a conversation with SRK on an autorickshaw. As the autorickshaw was driving uphill, we talked about life, success, and so many things. Eventually I asked him that does he realise how much he is revered by people from all walks of life, to which he gracefully replied, that he does know that and is very grateful for it. I wish I could recollect every bit of the conversation of that autorickshaw.

Why I am penning down this today is because almost all dreams are short lived and faint out from one’s memory the moment we wake up. So whatever I hold of it I have tried to recollect, in order to look back to it years later.
